Dorothy Zolandz founded D-Z Impact based on a deep belief that strong nonprofit leadership helps build stronger communities. She is excited to partner with leaders who want to increase their impact — not by working harder, but by leading more intentionally for the communities they serve.

Before founding D-Z Impact, she served as a senior executive in a major science not-for-profit with national and international membership.  In positions of progressively increasing responsibility, she consistently improved operational effectiveness, performance, and efficiency. She led revenue growth and built partnerships across public and private stakeholders — while reporting to a governance board and balancing day-to-day and strategic concerns.

Dorothy currently serves on the board of a major national nonprofit aimed at improving how America cares for its children and families. That vantage point allows her to help leaders and boards strengthen how they work together — clarifying roles, evolving board practices, and increasing the board’s contribution to strategy and governance.
